Dear Parents.

Heat Warning in effect!

Hot and humid conditions will continue today with temperatures forecast to reach the low to mid-thirties and Humidex values near 40.
An approaching cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and early this evening, followed by cooler and less humid conditions.

While heat can put everyone at risk from heat illnesses, health risks are greatest for
– older adults;
– infants and young children;
– people with chronic illnesses such as breathing difficulties, heart conditions or psychiatric illnesses;
– people who work in the heat;
– people who exercise in the heat;
– homeless people; and
– people without access to air conditioning.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

Thornhill Soccer Club will cancel House League this evening!

Outdoor House League

The Thornhill outdoor season begins this week. Please make sure that your children have soccer shoes and shin guards. This week the players will be introduced to their trainers and coaches in preparation for the lessons and games to begin next week.

You are asked to bring your child to the Bayview Reservoir on your assigned dates for your introductions.

Tuesday May 24th.

​Boys born 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2001. (the St. Marks and Joe Mo’s Inter town(U16) do not need to come)

Please arrive by 6:30 on the main field on the reservoir and you will be directed to your group

Wednesday May 25th.​

Children registered in the 2012/2011 Wednesday Only, 2012/2011 Monday and Wednesday combined

Children born in 2010,2009, and 2008

Girls born in 2007,2006,2005,2004, 2003, and 2002

Saturday May 28th.

​​Children born in 2013 please come to St. Roberts Catholic High School at 8101 Leslie at 9:30 am

Monday May 30th.

​​Children born 2012 and 2011 in the Monday program only.

All sessions begin at 6:30pm at the Bayview Reservoir unless otherwise advised. The Bayview Reservoir is next door to Thornlea Secondary School (across the street from the plaza which has the Dollarama in it)

Weather cancellations will be posted on our website and on our twitter account. If we have to cancel a session that decision will be made by 5pm.
