Thornhill Trials and Assessments

At Thornhill Soccer Club, we conduct thorough player assessments and trials to assemble teams capable of competing at the highest levels. Our selection process prioritizes more than individual skill on the field; we consider attributes like attitude, vision, decision-making, work ethic, and coachability.

Different team roles demand diverse player skill sets. Whether strikers, midfielders, defenders, or goalkeepers, each position requires specific qualities – strength, speed, foot skills, vision, or tactical understanding. Evaluators strive to identify the right combination of skills, attitudes, and roles to build a competitive team.

Dress Code:

Players must wear proper attire, including suitable footwear and shin guards worn under socks for safety.

Jewelry, including necklaces, rings, earrings, or bracelets, is strictly prohibited during assessments.

Players must bring a properly inflated ball of the appropriate size for their age group and an ample water supply.

Timing and Duration:

Assessments consist of three sessions; attendance on all days is strongly recommended for optimal consideration. Players unable to attend both sessions must inform TSC coordinators beforehand.

Each session typically lasts 1 to 1 1/2 hours, necessitating players to hydrate adequately before and during breaks.

All players must pre-register for the open trials:
