Please note, there will be no indoor house league on the following dates:
- Sunday December 28th, 2014 – Christmas Break
- Sunday February 15th, 2015 – Family Day Weekend
- Sunday March 15th, 2015 – March Break
- Sunday March 22nd, 2015 – March Break
Annual General Meeting
The Thornhill Soccer Club is having its 2014 Annual General meeting on Wednesday, November 26th., 2014. More details and location will be available soon.
Fields are Closed – Tuesday, July 8th
Unfortunately the city of Markham has notified us due to weather conditions all grass fields are closed tonight. A
ll house league, rep and adult league practices and games are cancelled with the exception of adult league games scheduled at the St Robert’s turf.
Fields are open – June 27th
The city of Markham has provided green light to use the soccer fields with caution. Below is the official communication:
Bylaw staff have provided an update to indicate that the dangerous animals have not been seen since Tuesday afternoon despite considerable efforts by YRP, OSPCA and Bylaw staff to locate them. Therefore, we have agreed to allow permit holders to use the parks again but with extreme caution. Operations staff have posted signs as attached to remind residents to be on alert and to not go into woodlots. Please advise staff and contractors to do the same — be aware of surroundings and if they see two dogs or coyotes to seek shelter and call 911. The City and OSPCA will continue its efforts to find those dangerous animals by patrolling and monitoring those areas. Bylaw staff will be posted at the sports fields over the next few nights during permitted use as an added precaution.
